the singing sideman:

how to hear, create, and sing harmonies while you play your instrument

Open to all instrumentalists looking to improve their harmony/background and lead vocal abilities, this class will give you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to hear, create, and sing harmonies while you play your instrument, either in your band or as a side-musician supporting another artist.

For around the cost of a single voice lesson, work for four 90-minute classes with an accomplished teacher and talented classmates on building your toolbox as a working musician. Trent Stroh is a singer, bassist, and multi-instrumentalist who has toured or recorded with acts as legendary and diverse as Eddie Money, Wayne Kramer, Nancy Sinatra, The Boneshakers, and America, lending his playing and singing talents to each setting. Whatever style of music you want to play, this class will give you the toolbox to sing and play.

This class is especially for me if I...
  • play in a band and wish we had harmonies on our songs
  • am a working side-musician and want to add the ability to create and execute harmony vocals live or in the studio
  • want to get better at singing while playing my instrument in group settings
  • am not a working side-musician YET but want to become one and know that being able to sing makes me more desirable and employable
  • want to get better at hearing, creating, and learning harmony vocal parts
  • just want the chance to learn some great songs and sing with other musicians
