COMMUNITY CHORUS with LIS LEWIS

Writing, creating, and performing can feel, at times, like solitary endeavors. In 2010 the Songwriting School will offer an environment that fosters and celebrates the communal and collaborative power of music.

The formula: Take a group of singers of any experience level, put them in a creative space with great vocal arrangements to some beloved popular songs, and enlist one of the music industry's most respected and in-demand vocal and performance coaches to guide the way.

The result: The Songwriting School of Los Angeles is proud to present COMMUNITY CHORUS, 6 Wednesday nights 7:30-9pm (please note new time!), beginning February 3rd (2/3 - 3/10).

Join vocal and performance coach Lis Lewis, whose client list reads like a who's-who of contemporary music (Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, Colbie Caillat, Linkin Park, Brittney Spears...), for this hands-on study of vocal harmony.

Lis Lewis remarks, "There's nothing so beautiful as singing harmonies with a great group of people. Come join in the fun and the joy of our Chorus. All levels welcome, from beginner to expert. Six weeks of songs, progressing from simple two part harmonies, to call-and-response, Motown style and culminating with fantastic Crosby Stills and Nash type four and five part singing. Warning - this kind of fun is very addictive!"

This class represents a rare opportunity to work weekly with a vocal coach of Lis Lewis' reputation at less than the cost of a private lesson. Build relationships while you build your skills at hearing and singing harmonies. And come to be a part of something BIG.

This class will be limited to the first 24 paid registrants. All experience levels welcome.
