THE MOST RECENT STUDENT FEEDBACK for THE ROOTS, PART 1 and its teacher, Rob Seals, from anonymous student evaluations on the final class day, Summer 2009:
- “I am going to remember this class as the turning point in my music. I feel so accomplished now. I came into this class only able to assemble [what Rob calls] ‘desktop phrases’ into half-completed songs. Now I can write thoughtful, truthful songs and complete them. Thanks so much!”
- “The class really challenged me to finish projects. The exercises were great in helping me develop ideas and creativity. Great group participation—very motivating! I really enjoyed everyone’s talents.”
- “I needed this! I am going to remember so many things: the careful attention to each student and Rob’s clarity, insight, patience, and mastery of the craft.”
- “Exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait for more classes here. Rob clearly has a gift for motivation and inspiration.”
- “The class got me out of my comfort zone in terms of sharing ideas. It helped to deepen a creative side, and everyone was kind.
- “I realize now that my inner critic knows what it means to be GREAT and not just to settle but to keep working and writing. Awesome! I learned so much!”
- “I loved it. I’m sad it’s over.”
- “I’m going to remember the many ‘light bulb’ moments I had during class.”
- “The tools were very helpful. I feel I can go back to them over time, and for that I am very thankful!”
