American Idol has given us a national interest in singing. But if you have been watchingthis season, you may have noticed that the show has discovered what you have known all along: audiences respond to artistry. The shift toward the singer/songwriter and artist and away from the karaoke-style singing contests of the past reflects a larger need for meaning and value that only true artists can provide.
How do you communicate your artistry in a moment, in a single face-to-face audition? Lis Lewis knows, and she wants to teach you how.

Legendary vocal and performance coach Lis Lewis works with contemporary icons like Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Colbie Caillat, Linkin Park, Rihanna, Demi Lovato, and many more. This learning and performance opportunity is designed not simply to get you ready for the intense a capella auditions for American Idol Season 10 that will begin in June, but to prepare you for the important work of communicating your artistry and uniqueness face-to-face in any audition setting.
Be the artist that you are. Prep to be the Idol you aspire to become.
Limited to 25 participants, you will have the chance to sing your prepared 30 second piece--just as you would for the judges at a setting like American Idol. Lis will offer a series of observations and suggestions and give you understandable, actionable techniques and principles to improve your performance and enhance an audience's understanding and appreciation of who you uniquely are. Then you will sing your piece again making use of those concepts. After the workshop, you will receive a video of your performance and the critique and coaching Lis offers you.
